Cauliflower puree
Another Valentines Meal Inspo...Very easy, different but delicious
INGREDIENTS
1 head cauliflower, trimmed & cut into big chunks
1 knorr chicken stock pot
1 cup of boiling water
1 sprig thyme
1 clove of garlic, minced
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional
Butter
Cream
METHOD:
1. In a pot, bring water to a boil over medium heat add the stock pot & garlic. Stir until the stock has dissolved.
2. Add your cauliflower, bring to a simmer & cook until tender about 5-6minutes.
3. Transfer your cauliflower to a food processor & blend until smooth. Add some of the liquid to loosen it up if need be. Add your thyme & blend until its well incorporated. Season with salt & pepper & enjoy.
5. Serve with anything that you want really.
NOTES:
Mine was a little watery so I put it back in the pot to sweat it out (Thicken )
Also the texture is very different if you don’t use butter or cream it looks like it as split (Looks like porridge the one before you make pap)
My suggested that if you are going the vegan way of no butter & cream you are better off steaming it instead of boiling it. Then continue to blend it
You can also use plant based milk..Again mine was a little watery hence I dint end up adding milk.
But no it still tasted amazing.
