The required ingredients are always available at home
INGREDIENTS
- 100g (1/2 cup) sugar
- 10 egg yolks
- 375ml (1 1/2 cups) milk
- 250g (1 cup) condensed milk
- 300g (1 1/4 cups) cream cheese
- 100g (1/2 cup) sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 egg whites
METHOD
- Add the sugar to the pan and caramelize until it takes on a dark amber color. Transfer to the mold (mold size 20 cm) and set aside.
- In a bowl, add the egg yolks and whisk until incorporated. Add the milk, vanilla extract and condensed milk and mix slowly until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, add the fromage frais and mix with the mixer. Gradually add the sugar, salt and egg whites and mix well.
- Mix the flan and cheese mixture and spread into the mould previously prepared with the melted sugar. Add hot water to the mold and transfer to the pan.
- Bake for 2 hours at 155°C/311°F. Once the cheesecake has cooled, refrigerate for 4 hours.
- When the time is up, slice and serve.
